【GMAT逻辑】真题精讲2题(第二期)
GMAT三大题型SC,CR,RC中,CR最能考察大家逻辑思维能力,也是考生们普遍反应“看得懂但选不对”的重灾区。
在做CR的过程中,最需要注意的是对核心影响关系的提取,提出的逻辑链尽量精练,不要拖泥带水,这样才有助于我们更好的结合问题看选项。
今天是申友Verna老师为大家带来的第二期CR难题解读,希望对大家思维提升和对CR逻辑链的提取有所帮助。

The recent decline in the value of the dollar was triggered by a prediction of slower economic growth in the coming year. But that prediction would not have adversely affected the dollar had it not been for the government's huge budget deficit, which must therefore be decreased to prevent future currency declines.
Q.Which of the following, if true, would most seriously weaken the conclusion about how to prevent future currency declines?
A The government has made little attempt to reduce the budget deficit.
B The budget deficit has not caused a slowdown in economic growth.
C The value of the dollar declined several times in the year prior to the recent prediction of slower economic growth.
D Before there was a large budget deficit, predictions of slower economic growth frequently caused declines in the dollar's value.
E When there is a large budget deficit, other events in addition to predictions of slower economic growth sometimes trigger declines in currency value.
题目概述:
美元贬值引发来年经济放缓的预测。如果没有政府的巨大预算赤字,(对经济发展放缓的)预期就不会对美元贬值有影响,必须要削减政府的巨额预算赤字从而防止未来的货币贬值。
逻辑链:预测---美元贬值
没有赤字,预测就不会对美元贬值有影响。(要把预测导致美元贬值看成一个整体)
问题类型分析:削弱。
选项分析:
(A) 政府对减少赤字做了很少尝试;attemp为主观选项,排除
(B) 预算赤字没有导致经济增长缓慢;预算与经济增长的关系,是无关的,对象没找准,排除
(C) 在预测前一年美元已经贬值好几次了;以前发生的情况,跳出探讨范围,对现在影响无从判断,排除
(D) 在赤字发生前,经济放缓的预测经常导致货币贬值;说明赤字与预测无关,因此赤字也不能影响货币贬值,撇清关系削弱,正确。无论是否提到赤字,经济会放缓的预言都会导致美元贬值
(E) 当赤字发生时,其他事结合经济放缓有时导致货币贬值;其他事跳出探讨范围;sometimes为无意义概率,排除

Newspaper editorial: In an attempt to reduce the crime rate, the governor is getting tough on criminals and making prison conditions harsher. Part of this effort has been to deny inmates the access they formerly had to college-level courses. However, this action is clearly counter to(相反的) the governor's ultimate goal, since after being released from prison, inmates who had taken such courses committed far fewer crimes overall than other inmates.
Q.Which of the following is an assumption on which the argument depends?
(A) Not being able to take college-level courses while in prison is unlikely to deter anyone from a crime that he or she might otherwise have committed.
